INTENDED USE
PCD – Helix Load Control Tests make the sterilization process difficult by preventing steam from reaching the test area. After the cycle is complete, the indicators are examined for changes in color, which indicate whether the sterilization process was successful or not.
OPERATION CONDITIONS
SV PCD – Helix Test Systems should be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The indicator is placed in the sterilization chamber and subjected to the sterilization process. Test system includes PCD 1 meter hose, Helix 1.5 meter hose. At the end of the hose there is a tube includes self-adhesive indicators inside. The tube can be metalic or moblen. The successful result is that steam leaking through this hose, reaching the indicator at the end of the hose and changing the color of the indicator.
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
The ink used for printing sterilization indicators contains the following components at parts per million (ppm) levels.
- Water: %33
- Diacetone Alcohol: %2,9
- Proprietary Mixture: %64,1
This product does not contain any substances that are considered hazardous and require consideration according to EC directives.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS
SV PCD – Helix Test Systems consists of a tube and self-adhesive indicator strips that contain a heat-sensitive chemical indicator. The indicator changes color when it is exposed to the required temperature and sufficient steam, indicating that the sterilization process was successful. The indicator may also include a reference color chart to compare the color change against to confirm the results.

STORAGE AND DISPOSAL
SV PCD – Helix Test Systems should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. It should be kept in its original packaging until ready for use. If the indicator has expired or been damaged, it should not be used, and it should be properly disposed of according to local regulations. Shelf life is 5 years.
